We are a Catholic family of five who sold or gave away most of what we owned, packed what remained into a 10×10 storage unit, and set out to see the world together.
But we aren't really thinking of this as a trip.
We're thinking of it as a pilgrimage.
For this season of our lives, we're worldschooling our three children while working remotely and taking ordinary family life on the road. We want to learn history where it happened, encounter other cultures, visit the churches and holy places we've only read about, and, most importantly, meet the people God places along our path.
This is where we'll document it all: where we go, what we learn, what it costs, what goes wonderfully right, and what goes spectacularly wrong.
We're not attempting an endless vacation.
We're attempting ordinary family life in extraordinary places.
We don't know exactly where this pilgrimage will take us or how long it will last.
And that's part of the point.
We are the Roamin’ Catholics.
And so we went.
